Two men that came to faith last night recieve prayer
The whole week we have been on campus with tents allowing students to come inside and confess their secrets annonymously and to talk to us about what it looks like to find freedom. Monday we had one tent on campus, Tuesday we increased to two, and Wednesday we went for three. All of this was
to create momentum for last nights event where we were inviting students to come and find freedom from the hidden life.
Last night was awesome. We packed the house out. At the start of the programing, we had people standing in the back. It was so fun to see so many people we did not know showing up to find freedom from a hidden life. All around the room we had secrets from the week hanging on the walls, and then we read 13 out loud and transitioned into a drama. Then Ryan Pfeiffer came up and spoke a great message on Genesis and how mankind was meant to be free in relationship with God, but for thousands of years we have been hiding. It is not that God is distant or doesn’t care, but that we have been hiding out of shame and fear. It was powerful.

the room was full! seats 200
At the end of the night, somewhere between 7-9 people made first time decisions to follow Jesus (we still need to follow up and talk with these people). We gave everyone glow sticks and asked them to stand up and crack them if they wanted to start living in the light with God. It was so powerful to watch.
This night was awesome, the week was awesome. It feels like we are finally finding our stride at SDSU. Praise God for His leading us into this outreach and giving us the strength to do the work He has called InterVarsity to do on campus.
In the days to come I will reflect more on what we are learning at SDSU about outreach since this was such a successful event.
Now it is off to Greek Conference. Please pray, I will be leading a group of 15 students who have self selected into this group that is all about learning to “connect” with God.
praise God!
