Video Slideshow of Fall!

Watch this awesome video of the Fall Recap on campus! Remember with us what God did!

Video: Student Testimonies of Turning to Jesus at Catalina

check out some testimonies from Soul Food, our fall conference, at Catalina every year in early November.

Karen: Student Testimony of Turning Back to Jesus

Helping students find their way back to God: Karen is like many college students. They grow up with some faith, come to SDSU and get swept up into the party scene, then wake up one day finding themselves far from God. Well, InterVarsity loves helping students find their way back, and by God’s grace we were able to do that this fall for her. Watch the video of her testimony at our last meeting of the year just two weeks ago!

Simon: Student Testimony of Turning to Jesus

Watch a great testimony from Simon, a 3rd year at SDSU, as he shares about Jesus breaking the addictions in his life and reconciling him back to his mother.

Growing in Faith: How one sorority girl’s decision impacts the campus!

“ I joined a sorority to finally be a part of something,”a non-Christian sorority girl  shared with me last Fall as she continued to show up at our events, alone. She met with me and shared her pain, her desire for something else but when she was presented with the choice she said she just wasn’t ready to live her life differently. This theta girl, came to faith last year and I have had the privilege of discipling her with some of her sorority sisters this Fall.  This year she has continued to grow and thrive in Greek InterVarsity’s community. A spunky, unique individual, she has continued to step out in bold ways as she shares her faith in her classes, on-campus and to Greeks at SDSU in her very own style. She has struggled reaching out to a broken system that she used to be so involved in but this has not stopped her from witnessing to sorority and fraternity students who are caught up in the party culture as she once was herself. In fact she continues to press into this culture to be a light and despite her own struggles with walking away from this crazy party scene as SDSU, she stood up and shared her testimony at our back-to-school bbq. Her opening line, “God doesn’t want us to be perfect, I mess up all the time and He still loves me and He wants you to know He loves you.”

This semester this theta girl, along with another girl leader in Greek IV, have started a bible study with sorority girls and have been consistent every week! She says although walking away from her old life has been the hardest thing she has ever known, being able to share with these sisters on a weekly basis about how good God is keeps her grounded in the truth of who God is and shows her what He truly saved her from! This brave theta’s story is a reminder of why we are on this campus reaching out to this lost and overlooked population. Students in the Greek system hunger for God and we want to be there ready to share His word and love when they are ready to hear it, even if that may be on frat row at 12am sharing a hot dog together….
